What is WTFParts? “Hey there! I see you have stumbled across my tiny corner of the internet. Nice. Well, since you’re here, I’ll give you a bit of info about what I do and why this website exists.
What is WTFParts?: In late 2020, I needed to buy a new N64 controller, but not a third-party brand or a second-hand, floppy stick controller. I needed a 10/10 OEM/Original N64 controller. This was a huge task, not only to find a potential seller but also to make sure the stick was legit, unrefurbished, and, most importantly, in perfect condition with no wobble or wear.
I got lucky and managed to secure a 9-10/10 stick and another stick which I thought was okay… However, it was not. It was added to the order for a small price, and even from the video I requested of the stick, it was still much more wobbly and worn than initially thought.
After my hardship (a first-world problem, I know), I went about creating the master N64 stick thread on the-elite.net, published in May of 2021. It’s a massive document covering everything from how to buy a stick to stick repair and ongoing projects making replacement parts.
This was fully updated to version 1.0.1 at the end of 2021 and is fully integrated into this website. The website then split into 2 mind 2023. WTFWiki.info now holds all the N64 data that I have collected, including reviews; WTFParts.info/shop is now dedicated to my own store and related projects.
